Hail to the Victards

I am still in disbelief about Minnesota. But why should I be? That's the way this season has been going. Botched calls, botched field goals, botched coaching, botched passes, no JM in AA....

But I actually feel like it might be my fault. I didn't really watch the game, for one. I only watched part of it. I did listen to some of it on the radio, but then I was inside a store (getting hit on in the cheese aisle--see my other blog) and I missed a chunk of the fourth quarter, right up to where Minnesota made the field goal in the last one second. (I was starving and out of food--what could I do?)

The other reason it might be my fault is that I was chatting wtih someone from Minneapolis during the game and he said, "Maybe the Gophers will win, even though they haven't beaten the Wolverines in twenty years." This is exactly the kind of jinx statement that always makes things like this happen. Foolish, foolish moi. I thought it was only sportscasters who could have this effect.

Sorry. I'm so sorry!!! I'll make it up to you somehow. I'll make a bikini out of bacon or something...
