This is no Hallmark holiday

It's official. I think we can make this happen. I'd like to start a national Wives Wear Bacon Day. Girlfriends (or boyfriends) can do this too, but be careful who you ask to do it, because it could be seen as a sign of commitment. (To better understand this holiday, see the post JM on Bacon.)

Actually, it should probably be more like a weekend than a day, so that those who just don't have time to prepare and wear bacon on one day, have a whole Friday through Sunday to do it. This way it could happen on Friday night or on Sunday morning.

Can we vote on when it should be? If during football season, it could be a distraction from a bad game day. But on the other hand, after a bad game day, could anyone be into seeing bacon on a naked breast (or other lady parts)? or eating it off lady parts for that matter?

Cast your vote for the dates of National Wives Wear Bacon Weekend.

A. November 4-5-6 (It's a biweek)
B. November 11-12-13 (Indiana)
C. December 2-3-4 (post regular season)

I am looking forward to this and I personally vote for A because I'd like to do it as soon as possible, but the rest of you may need some time to convince your wives and girlfriends that they should participate, so I'll understand if you vote for a later date.

It just has to happen once in the course of the weekend. Let's see how many of you can get your wives/girlfriends/sig Os to do this thing. I have thrown down the guantlet.

By the way, you do not have to take pictures and if you do, you don't have to post them to the board. But it would get you extra points... (No faces, just lady parts and bacon.)

Oh, and we should also allow substitutions for those who are Jewish or Muslim or vegetarian or have some other reason why they won't wear pork. It can be turkey bacon or veggie bacon (tempeh bacon is quite yummy and flexible and might even adhere pretty well). This holiday could be better than Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanza/Winter Solstice.
