Ya gotta love Randy
I got some stuff to say

1) Only 3 more hours. As I've said a bunch of time, this was my toughest week ever. Jen went out of town on Sunday. The kids have the week off school. And, to top it off, they are all a little sick this week.
I love my kids like everyone else. But 5+ days of just you and 3 6yr olds is not easy. I've had them by myslef for over a week before (when J has been away for work) but never when they were off school. They were actually very good all week but enough is enough
2) Don't talk to strangers. I've also mentioned before that I was a little kid (around first grade) during the time of the Oakland County Child Murderer. My #1 memory of that time is being drilled nonstop "Don't talk to strangers!!!" I mean this was drilled into us every day at school. Officer Ron used to come to school like once a week and talk to us about not talking to strangers, not taking candy from strangers, don't ever get in a strangers car (particularly a blue Gremlin).
It's only been in the last 5 years or so that I realized that a lot of that was b/c of the child murderer. I never put that together. I guess I just figured that was a constant theme of every school.
IT's not something I think they spend much time talking to my kids about at school. But we talk about it at home. Not drilling them like I was but talking about it. The other day at the mall Zane was running up ahead of us to get to the tou store. As he passed some old guy I could see th eold guy saying something to him. Zane turned to look at him and yelled "don't talk to strangers!". I actually LOLed
3) Couple of other converstaions from today. We were at the mall again - lunch, toy store, carousel can kill a good hour and a half. As were walking out there were some teenagers walking in>
HAnnah - Marn, did you see that guys hair
MArni - No
H - It was all spiky and bald on the sides with a tattoo on his head. Isn't that awesome?
M - It was all spiky?
H - Yeah, it was weird
M - That's not nice, don't call people weird (musta learned that in school, sure didn't get that from me)
H - Sorry
Later on the car ride home.
Marni - my toy was made in the USA
Zane - Mine was made in China
Hannah - Mine was made in China too
Marni - They make them in China b/c they don't pay them much money. You have to be careful with those (Jackwraith woulda been proud)
