Oh for the days...
when Michigan easily beat up on OSU, when Notre Dame could beat any miliary school teams, and when the Joe Mama posts were plentiful. Times being what they are, we have to take what we can get. Now this.
JJ and Vixen were going to Europe. Amex screwed up their seat
arrangement, so JJ had been trolling for ideas about how much to pay someone to switch with them...
So I won't be paying anyone to switch seats with me after all...

..we go to check in at one second after t-minus 24 hours and there are like 90 seats open for the taking. I got the aisle seat in the second row--with nobody in front of me, the first row has only two seats. The dutiful Vixen has the middle seat (shut up, she's like five foot one,she doesn't need any goddamn leg room).
I had decided to just offer up the hundred bucks to all aisle seats
around me and see if anyone would take it, going up to $250 if
necessary. It was Randy's response that convinced me not to just ask people. I wanted to avoid the situation of having some really nice person agreeing to do it and then sitting there resenting me the whole flight. Even if they're not really resenting me, I'll *think* that they are. I'm too fucking self-conscious to ignore that for 11 hours. But if the guy takes $100, $200, whatever, then it's a business deal,he's happy with the money, I'm happy with the seat, everyone gets what they want.
See ya in three weeks. I'm going to have to deputize Steve to carry on in my place to give an adequate response to anyone who compares Vick to a hunter or meat-eater. Steve, I know you don't like to toss around the phrase "fucking retarded fuck" all that often, but you're just going to have to sac up here.

and I've not done right by you for decades now, but if you could just have Scarlet and Wino unleash on jj and his take on the Vick case in his absence, I promise to mend my wicked ways at some undetermined point in the future.
